Town Departments

The Town has three operational departments. In addition the Town has some contract service providers who are linked to departments for support functions but who do not report to those departments.

Town Office - Town Clerk/Treasurer: Heather Roberts

The Town Clerk's office is the place to go for public records, information about the actions and schedules of the Town Commission, and general information about the Town. This office also handles processing applications for Building Permits, and scheduling, noticing and supporting meetings of various Town committees.

As Treasurer, the Town Clerk also handles issues regarding the Town budget and finances, including payroll, accounts payable/accounts receivable and the Town's financial records.

Office Administration

The Town’s Administrators include the Deputy Clerk and the Office Admin. They serve the Town by maintaining and organizing Town records, assists department heads in documentation and location of files, reviews and signs vendor payments, processes and records payments, assist residents, contractors, and the Building Official with permits and Town codes, as well as works closely with the Town Clerk to ensure resident needs are the Town’s main priority.

Law Enforcement - Brevard County Sheriff's Office (BCSO)

BCSO's Southern Precinct provides 24/7 coverage for the Town. The Southern Precinct's office hours M-F 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and is located at 1515 Sarno Road, Building B. Their non-emergency contact for service is 321-952-6371.

Public Works

The Public Works Department maintains the infrastructure of the Town, including roads, buildings, and drainage. The Public Works Supervisor is the code enforcement officer for the Tree Code and various other regulations of the Town.

The Public Works department devotes a majority of it's time to the maintenance and improvement of the Town drainage system, financed largely by the Town Stormwater Utility Fee. Drainage issues reported are prioritized and scheduled for work. Upcoming work areas planned are noticed here and in the Town Office.
